Texan duo Deadman are equally haunting on sophomore release Our Eternal Ghosts. Adrift on gentle washes of synths, weeping steel and harsh twang, Steven and Sherilyn Collins’ songs hark back to a world of clapboard churches and baptist hymns, but there’s a smouldering paranoia to this music too, that reeks of Woody Guthrie and Springsteen’s Ghost Of Tom Joad.
